"Nobody is broken. They just haven't discovered their why yet."
From ice hockey to capacity building — and back again.
I got into the gym in my early 20s playing ice hockey — and never really left. After completing my cert 3 and 4, COVID hit and I found myself back in retail, still training, wondering what was next.
Then a previous employer reached out and asked me to run outdoor capacity building sessions for NDIS participants. That reignited everything.
What started as a way back into fitness turned into something much bigger — working with everyday people who want to get stronger, feel better and build a mindset to match, alongside NDIS participants who deserve the same access, the same quality of coaching, and the same feeling of belonging in a gym environment.
My partner is an occupational therapist, and she's taught me one of the most important things I carry into every session: all behaviour is learnt, and if you find the 'why' behind it, you'll usually find the solution. Nobody is broken. They just haven't discovered their why yet.
What drives me is being part of people's lives in a real way — watching clients get promotions, change careers, build relationships, shift their mindset, get stronger, feel better. I've been lucky enough to be in the corner for all of it.
